Alexis Hyder

Vice President for Social Action at Participant Media

Alexis is the vice president for social action with a focus on television at Participant Media. Participant produces work that inspires and compels social change and is launching a TV network in August.

Alexis has focused her career on designing public-private partnerships for social impact. While at MTV and mtvU, she created Emmy- and Peabody Award-winning social action campaigns in collaboration with leading nonprofits and foundations. Alexis worked with the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City on its partnership with the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program and joined the Clinton Health Access Initiative in Liberia to assist the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare with cross-sector partnership development.

Alexis holds an MBA from the University of Michigan, a B.A. in government from Wesleyan University, and was a Coro Fellow. She serves on the board of Global Grassroots, a nonprofit that helps women in East Africa launch sustainable social ventures.
