Denis Moynihan

Author and Democracy Now! Co-Founder

Denis Moynihan is co-author with Amy Goodman of the New York Times bestseller The Silenced Majority: Stories of Uprisings, Occupations, Resistance and Hope. Since helping co-found Democracy Now! as an independent production company in 2002, he has participated in the organization’s growth, focusing primarily on distribution, infrastructure development and coordinating complex live broadcasts from around the world.

Denis lives in Denver’s Congress Park neighborhood, where he led a successful campaign to block construction of a new Wal-Mart Supercenter. He is the founder of Colorado’s newest full-power noncommercial FM community radio station, KFFR 88.3 FM in Winter Park, and is a proud supporter of many of Denver’s public media institutions, including Colorado Public Television/CPT12, Denver Open Media/Open Media Foundation, KGNU Community Radio and Rocky Mountain PBS.
