Suzanne Manneh

Writer and National Media Coordinator at New America Media

Suzanne Manneh is a national media coordinator, writer and Arab and Latino media monitor with New America Media. She has translated exclusive news features into English from top Latino media outlets including El Diario/La Prensa, La Opinión and Univision. Her work has appeared in several leading Arab media outlets including the Arab American News, ArabAmerica.com and Aramica and has also appeared in Alternet, the New York Times and and Yahoo! News.

Suzanne has organized several regional and national media campaigns, conferences and journalism fellowships. In 2011, she co-managed an award-winning, first-of-its-kind, multimedia national reporting project on the housing and foreclosure crisis. For three years she served as a writing facilitator and mentor at The Beat Within, a national literary magazine by and for incarcerated youth. She served as a commissioner on San Francisco's Sunshine Ordinance Task Force for four years.

Suzanne earned her bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley and has run three half-marathons in five years.
