Mickey Huff

Director of Project Censored


Mickey Huff is the director of Project Censored and is on the board of directors for the Media Freedom Foundation.  He is a professor of social science and history at Diablo Valley College in the San Francisco Bay area, where he co-chairs the history department.

Huff and former Project Censored director Dr. Peter Phillips co-host the Project Censored Show. The program airs weekly as part of The Morning Mix on Pacifica’s KPFA Free Speech Radio in Berkeley, Calif., and rebroadcasts on several stations around the U.S., including NoLiesRadio.org and the Progressive Radio Network. The program also rebroadcasts on various sites online.

Huff is also on the steering committee of Banned Books Week, working with members of the American Library Association, the American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression and the National Coalition Against Censorship, among others. Project Censored is an annual sponsor of the event. His latest book with Dr. Andy Lee Roth and Project Censored is Censored 2013: Dispatches from the Media Revolution.
