Tania Soto Valenzuela

Racial Justice and Civil Rights Organizer for the Colorado Progressive Coalition

Tania Soto Valenzuela is the racial justice and civil rights organizer for the Colorado Progressive Coalition. A native of Mexico, she moved to the U.S. with her family when she was nine years old. Her volunteerism and work have focused on the migrant community, racial justice, food justice and education.

Tania is currently conducting research with the Right to Learn Project, where she advocates for every student's right to have an educational space, and is a leader on the campaign to help undocumented immigrants in Colorado obtain drivers' licenses. As an undocumented, queer woman of color, she attempts to change and guide the conversation toward positive change with a community impact.
