Lucas Graves

Lucas Graves is an assistant professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where his research centers on the challenges digital, networked communications pose to media practices and institutions. He is working on a book about the fact-checking movement in American news.

Lucas has worked as a technology and media analyst and is also a longtime magazine journalist who is on the masthead of Wired. He received his doctorate and an M.S. in journalism from Columbia University. He holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Chicago.
