Nan Rubin

Chair of the Prometheus Radio Project

Nan Rubin has been a community media activist for more than 30 years. Focusing on building and expanding infrastructure for community-based media, she built two community radio stations, was a founder of the National Federation of Community Broadcasters and the World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters, and was instrumental in helping create the contemporary movements for media reform and media justice.

Nan works in public media policy and analysis, strategic planning, funding and technology. As chair of the Prometheus Radio Project, she is immersed in promoting Low Power FM opportunities around the country.
