Julia Wierski

Director of Development and Communications for the Prometheus Radio Project

Julia Wierski is the director of development and communications for the Prometheus Radio Project, the leading advocate for Low Power FM community radio. Prometheus led the successful grassroots campaign to pass the Local Community Radio Act, a victory that will create thousands of new opportunities for noncommercial radio stations in 2013.

Julia has worked in many areas of support for LPFM stations, including technical advisement, policy work and fundraising and development. She is a veteran of the Philadelphia radio market, having worked for 10 years as a DJ and consultant at WPRB in Princeton, N.J. She was also an associate producer for WHYY and has been a contributor to four other local stations.

Julia brings an extensive interest and love of the medium to her work with Prometheus, and is excited to see the next wave of community radio stations take to the airwaves!
