Sylvia Strobel

Executive Director of the Alliance for Community Media and the ACM Foundation

Sylvia Strobel is the executive director of the Alliance for Community Media (ACM) and the ACM Foundation, where she oversees national education and outreach and public policy initiatives on behalf of the nation’s community media centers.

Before joining ACM, Sylvia served as the president of the Pennsylvania Public Television Network and as an attorney with Twin Cities Public Television and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. She is a founding partner of the law firm Lehmann Strobel PC, where she continues to practice in the areas of art, media and nonprofit law.

Sylvia has served on many state and national boards, including the national board of American Women in Radio and Television, NATAS Upper Midwest and the Perpich Center for Arts Education. She has a B.A. in biology from St. Olaf College, a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.
