Get LOST in Denver

I’m an actress, a partner and a mother who cares about truth and justice. That’s why I’m taking part in the National Conference for Media Reform this April in Denver.

I wanted to speak out because I’ve had enough — enough of the way Big Media exploit the apathy, paralysis and delusion they have deliberately fostered. They make changing our world for the better seem impossible.

But they’re wrong — change IS possible. Just look at how much we’ve accomplished in the last two years.

Millions of people raised their voices against the SOPA/PIPA Web-censorship bills. Hundreds of thousands of people protested the Federal Communications Commission’s plan to weaken media ownership rules. And every day people are taking action to demand honest, ethical and accountable media.

The media reform movement has become a powerful force enabling and emboldening people like us — people who care about having media that tell our stories, and media that tell the truth.

Big Media might have money and might and influence and power, but we have passion and dedication, and we will not give up on our vision of a brighter tomorrow for ourselves, for our children and for their children.

Join me in Denver to plan the future of the movement for better media.
